Performance – Mikołaj Sobczak: Lutzi Puppe Wutzi

Herzliche Einladung zur Performance Lutzi Puppe Wutzi von und mit Künstler Mikołaj Sobczak. Dabei wirft er einen Blick zurück ins 19. Jahrhundert und lässt den Erzherzog Ludwig Viktor von Österreich, weithin bekannt als Luziwuzi, in Form einer lebensgroßen Puppe wieder auferstehen. Als kleiner Bruder des Kaisers Franz Joseph, bekannt als Ehemann von Kaiserin Sisi, war er ein wichtiger und beliebter Vertreter der höfischen Gesellschaft, bis er wegen eines Skandals um seine Homosexualität vom Wiener Hof verbannt wurde. Ausgehend davon führen Sobczak und Luziwuzi während der Performance eine Unterhaltung über das Queer-Sein in Vergangenheit wie Gegenwart und diskutieren darüber, ob Ludwig Viktor von Österreich als Erzherzog Einfluss auf rechtliche Gegebenheiten hätte haben können. Die Performance wird unterstützt durch den Schauspieler Joscha Baltha.

A warm invitation to the performance Lutzi Puppe Wutzi by and with artist Mikołaj Sobczak. He takes a look back at the 19th century and resurrects Archduke Ludwig Viktor of Austria, also known as Lutzi Wutzi, in the form of a life-size puppet. As the younger brother of Emperor Franz Joseph, famous as the husband of Empress Sisi, he was an important and popular member of court society until he was banished from the Viennese court due to a scandal involving his homosexuality. Based on this, Sobczak and Lutzi Wutzi have a conversation during the performance about being queer in the past and the present and discuss whether the Archduke could have influenced the legal conditions of the time by his example. The performance is supported by actor Joscha Baltha.
